Job Description – Social Media Advertiser (Remote, Freelance)

You want to help our clients drive more leads and sales after increasing their brand awareness. 


  • Perform ongoing measurement of all social media campaigns 
  • Develop, launch and manage paid social campaigns across Facebook/Instagram  
  • Test and iterate to identify optimization tactics across multiple campaign types including bidding, targeting, creative, settings, account structure, A/B testing and more.
  • Identify strategies and tactics to create more demand and generate new leads (ie contests, giveaways).
  • Develop strategy for visual assets that can be used in your campaigns and provide feedback on client’s creation of such visuals
  • Manage and track campaign budgets based on performance, estimate monthly costs 
  • Identify KPIs for each campaign and how we will measure them
  • Track, analyze and report results for all paid and organic activities on social media platforms
  • Present regular updates, findings and recommendations in an easily digestible format.
  • Provide strategy and implementation around retargeting campaigns

Required skills:

  • Proven track record building and managing paid social media campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and Facebook Pixel
  • Experience in tracking and reporting, including the ability to present key insights and learnings in an easily digestible format.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve creatively and independently
  • Resourceful and self-motivated, ability to work under strict deadlines, on multiple projects
  • Strong written communication skills (English)
  • Willingness to use Teamwork task management software
  • Ability to be paid by credit card, PayPal or eTransfer (Canada)

Nice to Have

  • Design skills that would allow you to make creative assets under the clients direction
  • Hands on experience with other platforms such as TikTok or LinkedIn
  • Expertise in Community Management (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Meta Blueprint Social Media Marketing Professional Certificate

We typically communicate via the Teamwork app and assign tasks with a 7 day turnaround time where possible.

Each project is unique so we’ll ask you to quote on the project before starting (it could be hourly, monthly or a one off project). If we both agree, you start working and invoice at month end; payment is made on the next business day.
