LinkedIn Has the Answers

I’ve been aware of LinkedIn Answers for a while but have not paid much attention to it.

Recently I decide that perhaps LinkedIn would be a time efficient means of finding graphic designers who are familiar with WordPress and could style a couple of sites for me. So I posted my quesition in the graphic design and web development categories…only to be bombarded with positive responses almost immediately!

What came out of the 10 minutes I took to ask a question was a slew of (claimingly) talented designers who would be willing to take a look at the projects and indicate if they could help!

The one thing I did realize is that either due to the way I ask questions and follow up later, or due to the nature of the people on LinkedIn, it is extremely difficult to pull a quote out of anyone there…which was the original reason for posting. It has also been difficult to get WordPress portfolios out of people. But at the end of the day there are quite a few candidates that look promising and I will follow up with them.

LinkedIn Answers is not just a place to recruit consultants but also a place to ask questions (and get answers) for free!

• Database experience with MS Access
• An understanding of email and web metrics and their analysis
• Search marketing experience
• e-Commerce experience
• Blogging experience
