Great evening out tonight! Nice to see former clients, colleagues and potential customers :-) Alex of Public Insite gave a great overview of a project they did about a site promoting healthy lunch ideas…
Public Insite sponsored the event including 2 drinks per person and some munchies - very kind Alex!

Web Analytics Wednesday - Ottawa - Nov 19/08

Posted in Events, Web Analytics by SEO Ottawa on the November 19th, 2008

I think this is the first ever Web Analytics Wednesday put on in Ottawa! There is an unofficial competition to see if we can get more people to turn up than Santa Barbara can!

We are meeting in the Snug Pub room at the Preston St. Heart & Crown (corner of Preston and Aberdeen). Alex Langshur of PublicInsite will present a short case study on tracking and analyzing a web-based social marketing initiative, followed by discussion and appetizers.

Come meet your colleagues in the Ottawa & Gatineau web analytics / site optimization community and let everyone know you are attending by registering (for free) at http://www.webanalyticsdemystified.com.

See you there!

I hear it all the time - “Sorry to have bothered you but it turns out I don’t need your services - my brothers daughters boyfriend is going to SEO my site for $25″. Or “Thanks but my webmaster said he can do this so I won’t need to hire you” *sigh*
I can code HTML - do you see me offering to build your ecommerce website?

Shari placed copywriters at the beginner level, information architects and interface designers at the intermediate level, and web developers and programmers at the advanced level.
Read this week’s article to see what she thinks has changed in the industry - should your webmaster be your SEO?
